Planned gifts provide long-term benefits. Giving by bequest costs nothing now, yet it may give you a great deal of satisfaction to know that your future gift will live on. An outright gift from your estate is entirely free from federal estate taxes. This means UCF is able to use the full amount of the bequest.
Gift endowments create permanent income-producing funds. These are gifts to UCF which are invested in perpetuity to provide ongoing and stable funding for student scholarships, academic chairs/professorships and academic programs.
While it is generally permissible for donors to direct gifts to the University of Central Florida (UCF) Foundation through Donor Advised Funds (DAF), there are restrictions imposed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that impact certain types of DAF contributions, including those to support UCF athletics. Read more about Donor Advised Funds here.
