The "Knight Line" is the UCF Annual Fund's telefund program. The program employs over 40 student callers who spend between two and four nights a week calling alumni and friends of UCF, updating their contact information, telling them about all the exciting things going on, requesting feedback and asking for donations to this year's Annual Fund.

Why Work at the Knight Line?


The Knight Line is an important component of the Annual Fund at UCF. Not only is it a fun and exciting place to work, we also offer incentives from businesses in and around the Orlando area.

Employment Requirements


Student fundraisers contact alumni, parents, and friends of the university via the telephone to update alumni records, maintain positive alumni relations, and solicit gifts for specific academic funds at the UCF.

Working Hours
Shifts are currently held at the following times:

Monday - Friday 5:45 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Sunday evening 4:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

These may change at any time. Shifts are occasionally cancelled due to campus events such as holiday breaks or unforeseeable instances. Students have the flexibility to determine their own schedule. Each student will be required to work a minimum of three calling shifts per week.

Wages
Hourly wages start at $7.25/hour

Responsibilities
Positively represent the University of Central Florida
Arrive for work prepared and on time
Call potential donors for gifts and explain necessary procedures
Provide honest, helpful information about the UCF Foundation and the University - be prepared to answer questions
Maintain good public relations with alumni and friends
Clearly update and verify all specified alumni demographics
Alert the management staff to all prospective donor problems/concerns
Accurately record the results of every phone call and fill out forms completely
Efficiently operate automated DialVision system
