UCF Advancement’s Prospect Development team  — represented by Sr. Director, Kim Walz, with team members Kate Verret, associate director and Cheyenne St. Julian, assistant director — was recently in Atlanta presenting at the APRA Prospect Development 2022 international conference. (APRA is the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement.) The team presented on “Activity to Impact: Measure Like a Fundraiser to Ask for a Raise,” showcasing their successful journey to developing metrics to track and measure their ROI individually and as a team.

Walz reports their session was very well-attended, with 55 participants, and feedback she received was overwhelmingly positive. One attendee remarked it was the best session she had attended at the conference, and another said the session felt very empowering. Session evaluations were equally glowing: “I appreciate the presenters’ advocacy for our profession with great content on how to organize to leverage yourself and your position,” and “Amazing information to learn and document one’s value” were some of the comment highlights.

The team hopes to present at next year’s conference in August 2023.
